WhatsApp is working on some exciting updates to provide a better experience to its users. The instant messaging app is releasing profile photos of group participants within group chats, to some iOS beta testers, reported WABetaInfo, the website that tracks the latest WhatsApp updates. The feature will help in idnetifying group members easily.

The update is submitted through the TestFlight beta Program, bringing the version up to 22.23.0.70. The website also shared a screenshot of the update. The feature helps group members recognise other participants having the same name.

If a group participant does not have any profile photo or it is hidden, the default empty profile photo will be displayed. “The default empty profile photo is always tinted by using the same color as the contact name,” WABetaInfo wrote.

The feature is available only to some beta users who install the latest update of WhatsApp beta for iOS from the TestFlight app. The feature will be rolled out to some more beta users in the coming few weeks.

Recently, WhatsApp also released the ability to forward images, videos, GIFs, and documents, with a caption to some android beta testers. The lucky users will be able to use this feature by installing the latest update of WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.23.15 update from the Google Play Store.

Earlier this week, the Meta-owned app also rolled out the ability to create polls in one-to-one chats to some iOS beta users. Like polls in group chats, users can also add up to 12 options in individual chats.
